About Us

Zetas In Action (ZIA) was established by Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated in September 2022. ZIA was incorporated in the District of Columbia on January 3, 2024 and operates as a tax-exempt 501c(4) social welfare organization.

ZIA was organized as a separate entity to further the mission of its founding organization by advocating for improvements to the social welfare of communities through public policy and programming. Its key focus areas include voter and election protection and reform, criminal justice reform, elder care, maternal and child health, education, and access to quality health care, particularly in communities of color. Zetas in Action was incorporated in the District of Columbia on January 3, 2024, and is currently operating as a social welfare organization that is tax exempt under Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(4) while it awaits formal recognition from the Internal Revenue Service. Zetas in Action is governed by its articles of incorporation and bylaws.
